Seven pieces of advice #5: Be online, live offline

large__5081266612I believe non-profit organizations will reach the full benefit of their online community efforts if they host offline activities for their target group as well. In other words: integrate your online communities with offline activities.

Your community members will bond much more with each other and with your organization if you organize offline meetings. Your online community and brand is static. You will give your brand and organization a “face” if you organize exciting offline activities as well. People will not then only see a logo, but the passionate enthusiastic staff of your organization as well. I am convinced that this will definitely lead to higher levels of sustainable engagement among the young generation.

Until next time,
